Driver’s Ed

I realize that having a page dedicated to driver’s education may be puzzling to you because the focus of this blog is grammar. However, I have two teenage daughters and their learning to drive has become a large focus in my life.

I have spent many hours on the computer researching driver’s education information. I have collected a fairly extensive list of bookmarks of useful driver’s ed sites. I thought that I could save other parents a little time by outlining a few of them. I’ll add more as time permits.

  • DriversEdGuru.com - “The Free Online Guide to Learning to Drive”. This website includes extensive articles, product reviews, high quality videos, and practice DMV quizzes. This is a definite must-read for any parent and their teens.
  • Edmunds.com - Head to Edmunds.com if you’re looking to buy or sell a used car. This site also features practical advice and tips for maintaining your vehicle.
  • BestTrafficSchool.com - There are many providers of traffic school, but this company truly cares about their customers. For those of you who aren’t ware, traffic school isn’t for new drivers, but rather for licensed drivers who need to take a course to satisfy a court requirement.
  • HowToDriveaCar.com - This site features links and resources for new drivers.
  • TexasOnlineDefensiveDrivingSchool.com - This site has links to some great websites and that’s why I’ve linked to their resources page.
  • ParentSuccess.com - Practical help for parents on nearly every parenting topic. This site’s scope is well beyond driving and I’m certain you’ll find it useful.
  • HomeSchoolCentral.com - Even if you’re not a homeschooler, you’ll find the educational resources to be top-notch.
  • LemonLaw.com - While I don’t usually recommend lawyers, this practice appears to be the “go-to” guys for all of your Lemon Law issues.
